2007 Toyota Camry/Camry HV Interface Kit For iPod
Vehicle Disassembly (a) Set parking brake. (b) Remove the negative battery cable. (Fig. 1-1) (1) Protect the fender before starting. (2) Do not touch the positive terminal with any tool when removing cable. (c) Remove instrument panel garnish LH: (1) Disengage the 2 clips and remove the instrument panel garnish. (Fig. 1-2) NOTE: Pull the instrument panel garnish up at a 45ยบ angle to remove it. (d) Remove instrument panel garnish RH: (1) Disengage the 2 clips and remove the instrument panel garnish. (Fig. 1-3) (e) Remove floor shift position indicator for automatic transmission. (1) Unscrew shift knob. (2) Disengage the 6 claws and 3 clips and remove assembly. (Fig. 1-4) (3) Disconnect any connectors. (f) Remove upper console shift boot panel for manual transmission. (1) Unscrew shift knob. (2) Disengage the 2 claws and 5 clips with panel removal tool & remove panel. (Fig. 1-5) (g) Remove center console garnish on automatic transmission. (1) Disengage the 3 claws and 5 clips with panel removal tool. (Fig. 1-6) (2) Disengage clamp. (3) Disconnect connector and remove garnish. (h) Remove center console garnish on manual transmission. (1) Disengage the 3 claws and 5 clips with panel removal tool. (Fig. 1-7) (2) Disconnect connector and remove garnish. (3) Remove upper center console panel assembly. (Fig. 1-8) (4) Remove 2 screws. (5) Disengage 4 claws. (6) Disconnect connectors & remove panel.
