Boxster Convertible Top Canvas R & R DIY
Removal and Replacement of the Boxster convertible top. I never started out to remove and replace the convertible top on my 1998 Boxster but I always believe in researching and understanding a repair prior to getting quotes on it. My Boxster is my seventh Porsche always buying them used and it co-resides next to my “retro” Boxster, a 1971 914. The Read more

Complementing the 987C Boxster S with the 987A Cayman S Front and Rear Bumper Covers
Why change the Boxster S Bumpers? You fall in love with a Porsche—and start improving, modifying, and changing it until it reflects who you are. It doesn’t matter what kind of perfection you’re chasing. Porsche geekdom is one religion with many denominations: club racing, driver’s education, autocrossing, rallying, touring, preservations, concours, and socialization. If you don’t change it and make it uniquely yours, then you’re not really a Porsche guy, just a temporary owner.

2000 Dodge Dakota/Durango Power Windows Operation
A permanent magnet motor moves each of the power windows. A master switch on driver’s door controls all windows and can lock out rear window operation (Dakota Quad Cab and Durango). Power is supplied from a circuit breaker in the junction block when ignition is on. A positive and negative battery connection to either of the 2 motor terminals will cause the motor to rotate in one direction. Reversing current through these same 2 connections will cause the motor to rotate in the opposite direction. Each individual motor is grounded through the master switch by a wire attached to the instrument panel reinforcement. Vehicles are equipped with an Auto Down feature. Driver’s window can be lowered without having to hold the switch in the down position. Auto Down feature can be activated by pressing down switch past first detent.
On Dakota, inspect circuit breaker No. 20 (20-amp) in junction block. On Durango inspect circuit breaker No. 21 (25-amp) in junction block. On all models, junction block is located on left end of instrument panel. Inspect fuse No. 9 (40-amp on Dakota, 50-amp on Durango) in Power Distribution Center (PDC). PDC is located in left front corner of engine compartment. Inspect power window system ground circuit. See WIRING DIAGRAMS.
