RPO codes tell what options & accessories a vehicle has. RPO codes can be found in the glove box, on the trunk lid or hatch, or on the drivers side door jam near the latch. If you find the RPO code & it does not match one listed above for your particular vehicle, you should not use this harness.

For BUICK Century 1982-96 Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent an accidental short circuit. Remove (4) screws from the top-inside edge of the dash trim bezel. Remove (5) screws from both sides of the steering column. Remove (3) Phillips screws securing the rocker-switch housing and lift the housing out. Remove the bezel. Remove the hardware securing the factory mounting brackets to the factory head unit. Remove and retain the brackets. Skip to the Installation Instructions for ALL VEHICLES on Page #34.

1) Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2) Make sure the engine is cool enough to drain coolant from the radiator.
3) Raise the vehicle and support on properly rated jackstands. a) Remove the front lower splash shield. (Fig 1) b) Loosen the passenger-side fender well liner and move sufficiently to gain access to the area immediately behind the front bumper. This is where the air filter is going to be installed. You must use the Black key to complete the programming procedure. Programming : Keep the programming button pressed down while inserting the wire harness into connector of the HONDA-DA. Release the programming button once the LED turn ON. Turn the Ignition to the ON position. The number of LED flashes indicates the mode. (I.e. Mode 1 = 1 Flash) Press the programming button to switch between modes 1, 2 and 3. (Mode 3 is future use) Once the mode is selected, turn the ignition key to OFF position. Turn the IGNITION key to the ON position once again. The LED will illuminate. The module is now programmed. Turn the key to the OFF position and remove it, start the vehicle using the remote starter to insure functionality.
