The Conversion of a General Motors Cadillac SRX to Drive-By-Wire Status
For the past 25 years, by-wire systems have been used in the most advanced flying machines known to man. In the 1960s, McDonnell Douglas, now The Boeing Company produced the F-15 Strike Eagle, a magnificent fighter jet with fly-by-wire capability. Fly-by-wire is where each mechanism is controlled electronically. The mechanical linkages are removed and every movement is communicated through electric signals alone. The idea of fly-by-wire forever changed the concept that a mechanical linkage has to initiate movement (i.e. pitch, roll, and yaw) of a vehicle. The use of electronic motors to control movement has proven to be more responsive and a more efficient use of space and energy. The responsiveness of the fly-by-wire system is one of the heralding accomplishments that make the F-15 such an engineering accomplishment which can fly at 2.5 Mach speeds. Thus the by-wire control is now setting the stage for better, faster vehicles in the air and on land.

Many factory amplifiers are now incorporating the crossovers for the tweeters and subwoofers within the amplifier. When bypassing the factory amplifier, you need to cross over those speakers with either passive crossovers or use an after-market AMP with built in crossovers.

For BUICK Century 1982-96 Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent an accidental short circuit. Remove (4) screws from the top-inside edge of the dash trim bezel. Remove (5) screws from both sides of the steering column. Remove (3) Phillips screws securing the rocker-switch housing and lift the housing out. Remove the bezel. Remove the hardware securing the factory mounting brackets to the factory head unit. Remove and retain the brackets. Skip to the Installation Instructions for ALL VEHICLES on Page #34.

2007 Chevrolet Aveo Polish
The first Chevrolet built in the European Union rolled off the assembly line of the FSO (Fabryka Samochodów Osobowych) plant in Warsaw, Poland, today. 2008 Chevrolet Lumina SS UTE
2008 will see GM Holden celebrate its 1000th ute export to South Africa with the announcement that General Motors South Africa is to take delivery of the new VE Ute. This is the first export program for the all-new Ute, outside New Zealand, and enters GM Holden into its 5th year of ute exports to South Africa.
To be sold as a Chevrolet Lumina SS Ute, the VE derivative will be almost identical in terms of specification and features to the domestic version of the sporty SS V Series, and joins the popular Lumina SS Sedan already on sale.

KV6 Variable Intake Manifold System (VIS) Motor Diagnostic Aid
This ‘information only’ bulletin has been issued to aid diagnosis and resolution of Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) related to valve actuator motors assembled to the air intake manifold of the KV6 engine. A noticeable change in engine performance or a ‘rattle’ noise coming from the intake manifold area during idle may be reported. The Variable Intake Manifold System (VIS) on the KV6 engine incorporates two actuator motors (’VIS Motors’) that control the positions of internal flaps and butterfly valves which alter the volume and rate of air induction.
