1. Allow engine to cool before beginning installation.
2. Access the underside of the vehicle.
- APR recommends utilizing a lift for this installation.
- A jack with jack stands or ramps can be used if a lift is not available.
3. Remove the Splash Shield. With the flat head screw driver, unfasten all of the quarter turn screws. Note how splash shield is oriented in the car before removing.
4. Remove the three 6mm bolts from the front lower engine mount.

Installation Steps:
1. Removing fasteners from the exhaust brackets to lower exhaust, support as needed to prevent damage.
2. Raise hitch into position. Using a center punch, punch through the center hole of the hitch and into the heat shield.
3. Lower hitch and cut out the area of the heat shield covering the access hole. See heat shield trim detail.
4. Fishwire 1/2-13 X 1 1/2″ carriage bolt and SP6 spacer through the access hole and out the forward most hole in frame, both sides. (SEE FISHWIRE TECHNIQUES)

REMOVAL OF STOCK TRAILING ARMS
1. Place vehicle on level surface and place tire chocks in front of and behind front tires.
2. Support rear of the vehicle on the jackstands and remove the rear wheels.
3. Place a floorjack under the differential and lift up slightly to remove tension from the trailing arm bolts. Make sure not to lift the vehicle off the jackstands.
