Upper Intake Manifold Removal 1. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube. 1 Remove the hoses. 2 Loosen the clamps. 3 Remove the air cleaner outlet tube. 2. Remove the pin-type retainers and the accelerator cable splash shield. 3. Disconnect the throttle cable and the cruise control cable. 4. Disconnect the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) and Idle Air Control (IAC) valve electrical connectors. 5. Disconnect the harness from the throttle body stud. 6. Disconnect the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) vacuum regulator and vacuum supply hoses. 7. Disconnect the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) and Evaporative Emissions (EVAP) vacuum hoses. 8. Remove the EGR valve. 1 Disconnect the vacuum hose. 2 Remove the nuts. 3 Remove the bolts. 4 Remove the EGR valve. 9. Remove the EGR Vacuum Regulator (EVR) valve. 1 Disconnect the vacuum hose. 2 Disconnect the electrical connector. 3 Remove the bolts. 4 Remove the valve. 10. Remove the eight bolts and the upper intake manifold. Remove and discard the gaskets. Clean all mating surfaces.
Installation
1. Position new gaskets in the upper intake manifold. 2. Position the upper intake manifold and install the bolts in the sequence shown. 3. Install the EGR vacuum regulator valve. 1 Position the valve. 2 Install the bolts. 3 Connect the electrical connector. 4 Connect the vacuum hose.

The ultra-modern compression-ignition engine with Common Rail fuel injection system and piezo injectors impresses not only with its sheer power, but also, and even more so, with its remarkable efficiency. On average, the Audi Q7 3.0 TDI requires a mere 9.8 liters of diesel for every 100 kilometers traveled. This means that the new version needs 0.7 liters less than its predecessor, despite the significant increase in power output and torque.

K04 Turbo Installation Write Up
The K04 kit comes with everything you need (except tools). Every gasket, nut, bolt and screw that is removed in order to get the K03 off and the K04 on is supplied within the kit. It is not recommended that you drive the car with either the K04 turbo and K03 programs or vice versa. So it is a good idea to have your ECU flashed with the K04 programs prior to installing the K04 by removing the ECU and sending it in to APR (see my ECU Removal Write Up).

The installation of this intake requires that the installer’s hands be very close to engine and exhaust components which get extremely hot. Only attempt the installation of this kit on a vehicle that has had plenty of time to cool off.
Step 1: Using a Phillips head (star) screwdriver remove the 2 screws holding the factory air inlet scoop. The location of these screws is marked with arrows right. Once these screws are out, the entire inlet scoop can be pulled out. It is made up of 2 pieces between the front of the car and airbox and may need to be split to get it out.
