These instructions are for the Audi TT and Volkswagen Mark IV chassis vehicles. The photos shown are of an Audi TT. The Volkswagen applications use the same caliper brackets, rotors and hats, and the caliper bodies are identical, so the installations are very similar on all vehicles. The one main difference is the brake lines, which may vary slightly from the photos shown. Also, brake pad wear sensors and ABS line routing may vary. Though the actual fitment may look slightly different, the order in which the kit is installed is the same for all vehicles.

1997-90 Honda Accord Front Brake Rotor Removal
The front hub and bearing assembly must be removed to replace the brake rotor, figure 1. If the vehicle is serviced incorrectly, the bearing maybe damaged. A common removal method that can result in bearing damage is using a slide hammer to separate the hub from the bearing. The effects of a slide hammer can be damaging to the bearing and bearing seal. To avoid damaging the bearing and seal the hub and rotor should be removed as an assembly from the back side of the knuckle.

1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL
2. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID NOTICE: Wash off the brake fluid immediately if it comes into contact with a painted surface.
3. DISCONNECT FRONT FLEXIBLE HOSE
a. Remove the union bolt and a gasket from the disc brake cylinder, then disconnect the flexible hose from the disc brake cylinder.
4. REMOVE DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSY FR LH
a. Remove the 2 bolts and disc brake cylinder.
5. REMOVE DISC BRAKE PAD KIT FRONT (PAD ONLY)
a. Remove the 2 brake pads with anti-squeal shim.

1993 Ford Explorer Suspension Front (2WD) Removal & Installation
The first step of removal the spindle from this ford explorer
Removal 1. Raise and support front of vehicle. Remove wheel and tire assembly. Remove brake caliper from rotor and wire it to under-body to prevent damage to brake hose. 2. Remove dust cap, cotter pin, nut retainer, nut, washer and outer bearing. Remove rotor from spindle. Remove inner bearing and seal. Discard seal. Remove brake dust shield. 3. Remove tie rod end from spindle arm with Tie Rod End Remover (Tool-3290-D). Remove cotter pin from lower ball joint stud. Remove axle clamp bolt from axle. Note position of camber adjuster on top of axle. 4. Using Ball Joint Remover (D81T-3010-B), remove camber adjuster from upper ball joint stud and axle. Strike inside area of axle to release lower ball joint. See Fig. 4 . Remove spindle and ball joint assembly from axle.
CAUTION: DO NOT use pickle fork to separate ball joint. This will damage the seal and ball joint socket.

REMOVAL
1. On the front hubs, remove the cotter pin, nut lock, and spring washer from the stub shaft.
2. Loosen the lug nuts and hub nut while the vehicle is on the ground with the brakes applied.
3. Raise and support the vehicle.
4. Remove the hub nut and washer from the stub shaft.
5. Remove the wheel and tire.
6. Remove the disc brake caliper, rotor, dust shield and disengage ABS speed sensor if applicable.
7. Remove the three bolts holding the hub bearing to the knuckle.
8. Remove hub bearing from axle drive shaft and steering knuckle.

Removal & Installation 1. Raise and support front of vehicle. Remove front wheel assemblies. Remove lower lock pin/guide bolt. See Fig. 2 . Pivot caliper upward and support using rope. 2. Remove pads, shims, guide plates or pad guides and “V” springs (if equipped). Replace pad if lining thickness is less than specified. See MINIMUM PAD LINING SPECIFICATIONS (FRONT) table. 3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Use Disc Brake Expander (49-0221-600C) and an old pad to push piston fully inward to install disc pads.

Remove all screws which hold the bumper. Also remove the screws which hold the alloy bar and remove the bumper with the alloy bar. Remove the alloy bar from the bumper and install it into the new Hofele-Design bumper.
2. Placement of the Hofele-Design front bumper on the car:
Place the new bumper on the car but do not yet bolt it on.
3. Preparation of the bonnet:
Remove the front grill and the rubber strap behind it. Install the front grill (HF 7052-S4 / RS4) in the extension piece.
