2008 Chevrolet Aveo Penny Edition
Credit-crunched Londoners grabbed pocketfuls of pennies today at the launch of a 20-foot billboard advert made entirely from one-pence coins. The unique installation – made using over 20,000 pennies – only lasted 30 minutes as hundreds of opportunistic passers-by seized their moment to pick up a penny or two.
The penny billboard was unveiled in London’s New Oxford Street to advertise the 769,500-pence starting price of the new Chevrolet Aveo.

2007 Chevrolet Aveo Polish
The first Chevrolet built in the European Union rolled off the assembly line of the FSO (Fabryka Samochodów Osobowych) plant in Warsaw, Poland, today. The small four-door Aveo sedan will be joined by two new hatchback variants in summer 2008. As production increases to approximately 60,000 next year and 100,000 in 2009, the Aveo made-in-Poland will help meet strong demand across Europe. With sales up 32 percent compared to a year ago, Chevrolet is the fastest growing volume brand in Europe.

Ecotec four-cylinder engines to join industry-leading FlexFuel lineup The 2009 Chevrolet HHR small SUV will become the first four-cylinder model in General Motors Corp.’s North American lineup that can run on either gasoline or E85 ethanol.

The front-engine, rear-wheel drive sport coupe will feature an independent rear suspension, and will be offered in a variety of models with the choice of manual and automatic transmissions and V-6 and V-8 engines.
