TDi and N/A engines have some fundamental differences, mechanical as well as fueling. The major mechanical ones being compression ratio and piston cooling. The injection pump is tuned to suit the type of engine and expected use, so I would expect an engine from a car to be set up with the flexibility required. There are ancillary differences between engines, the most obvious being different water and oil pumps on van engines. Sumps from cars have smaller capacity than vans. TDi engines have a different breather system with two hoses to the sump.

The intake manifold installation for honda mdx 2003. Removal 1. Remove the intake manifold cover. 2. Disconnect the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor 2 connector (A), and remove the breather pipe (B), then remove the intake air duct (C). 3. Remove the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose (A), brake booster vacuum hose (B), vacuum hose (C) and vacuum line mounting bolts (D). 4. Remove the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister hose (A) and the transmission breather hose clamp bracket (B). 5. Remove and plug the water bypass hoses (C). 6. Remove the engine wire harness connectors and wire harness clamps from the intake manifold. – Intake air temperature (IAT) sensor 1 connector – Throttle actuator connector – Manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor connector – Evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge valve connector – Intake manifold tuning (IMT) (intake manifold runner control (IMRC)) actuator connector 7. Illinois has been testing OBDII systems with pass fail criteria for about a year now, and we know much more about how the system works or does not work than we knew in January 2004. But first a quick review… A vehicle that is presented for an OBDII test will first receive a gas cap test and then be scanned through the DLC. The vast majority of the vehicles will in fact communicate via the DLC and most that will not are either missing B+ on pin 16 and/or ground on pin 5. If the vehicle will communicate via the DLC, a check of applicable readiness monitors will occur. If the correct number of monitors have been run, MIL function is analyzed and the vehicle passes or fails. This abbreviated explanation gives an overview of the test. TUBULAR EXHAUST SYSTEM: These components are designed as a system to improve the exhaust efficiency of the Dodge 5.2L & 5.9L V8 engine. They are constructed of 409 HP stainless steel to better withstand the high heat present with the fuel-injected engine, especially when used for towing or other heavy duty applications. The stainless steel used for these systems is much more durable than mild steel, although it does not appear different in appearance. These systems can be identified by the part numbers on each of the major components. Note that a magnet will stick to this type of stainless steel; magnetic attraction is not a valid test for these systems. A performance gain can be expected by the installation of the system. This system does require welding for installation (see note below) and retains all O.E.M. emissions equipment.

2007 Peugeot 308 Diesel Hybrid (HybrideHDi)
This new 308 Hybrid HDi demonstrator represents another step on the path towards the planned commercialisation of the technology in 2010. Further evaluation of the original Peugeot 307 Hybrid HDi demonstrator in 2006 has confirmed the choice of a diesel engine, instead of a petrol engine, as the best option to provide the best reduction in fuel consumption and emissions.

The demonstrator is powered by Peugeot’s most efficient parallel hybrid powerplant to date, combined with a 6-speed electronically controlled manual gearbox. It has a 110 bhp 1.6 HDi DPFS diesel engine coupled with a 22 bhp electric motor providing a maximum power output of 132 bhp, comparable to that of the 308 with the 2.0 litre HDi DPFS 136 bhp diesel engine. Fuel consumption in the combined cycle is 83 mpg and 90g/km of CO2 or a reduction of 38% compared to an equivalent 308 diesel HDi model.
