TIMING BELT for VOLKSWAGEN’ ‘1.8L 4-Cylinder – New Beetle – APH, AWP & AWV Engines Removal 1. Remove engine cover. Remove noise insulation pan from under engine compartment. 2. Remove air duct pipe between turbocharger and charge air cooler. See Fig. 1 . Air duct pipe is located along bottom right of cross member. 3. Mark rotation direction of serpentine drive belt. Move serpentine drive belt tensioner as shown to release tension on belt. See Fig. 2 . Secure tensioner using a drift, about .18″ (4.5 mm) x 2.2″ (55 mm). See Fig. 3 . Remove serpentine drive belt. 2002 Jaguar X-Type V6-2.5L Transmission Fluid Level Check Inspection
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Connect the approved Jaguar diagnostic system.
3. Make sure J-Gate shift selector is in the Park position (P).
4. With the engine running and the foot brake applied, move the J-Gate shift selector
through “P-R-N-D-4-3-2″ and back to the “P” position to circulate the automatic
transmission fluid until the temperature reaches 30 to 40°C (86 to 104°F) on the
approved Jaguar diagnostic system.

Aluminum Rail Replacement on a 2004 and Newer 5 Series BMW
A 2004 BMW 5 Series BMW has been in an accident. The left rail has a golf ball size bend in it about 10 inches from the front end cap & the right rail is swayed out by 15 mm. Estimator A writes an estimate to pull the front end of the vehicle and repair both rails. Estimator B writes an estimate to pull the front end and replace the left rail.
