BMW – A4S Diagnostic Trouble Code 40 Technical Service Information
BMW’s A4S transmission is otherwise known as the 4L30-E. This transmission is found in BMW’s 3 and 5 series models. In 3 series vehicles the transmission is referred to as the A4S/270R and the 5 series as the A4S/310R indicating torque capacity. Some model vehicles have been producing intermittent pressure control solenoid code 40. If the vehicle is equipped with an AGS version controller E34 the “Trans Program” may be displayed in the matrix (Driver Information Center). If it is equipped with the E36 version controller the transmission fault indicator may be illuminated. Cycling of the ignition switch many times restores the operation back to normal condition.

2009 Dodge Challenger Crankshaft Position Sensor Intermittent MIL Illumination Diagnostic Trouble Code
This bulletin involves adding a shim to the crank sensor and verifying the condition has been corrected and only if necessary, replacing the flexplate. NOTE: This bulletin applies to models equipped with a 2.7L or 3.5L engine (sales code EER or EGG) built before October 8, 20008 (MDH 0810XX).

2007 Aston Martin V8 Vantage Convertible
An obvious move to fulfill Aston Martin’s Porsche 911-fighting intentions convertible version of the Aston Martin V8 Vantage would be an obvious move to fulfill its Porsche 911-fighting intentions, but the British company has never really confirmed it will build one. As these spy shots by our shooter so deep underground that he’s anonymous show, it’s on. This convertible Aston Martin was spied just a few days ago while the sedately disguised convertible was out for an early evening romp. Expected as a model-year-2007 car, it would make most sense to be unveiled at the Paris, Los Angeles, or Detroit auto show, and launch in the States by spring of next year. Like its coupe sibling, the convertible gets the Jaguar AJ-V8-derived 380-horsepower 4.3-liter twin-cam, 32-valve V-8 and an aluminum/composite body.

Diagnostic Software for BMW User Guide
Bavarian Technic offers two diagnostic kits for BMW: Enthusiast and Professional. With the exception of Coding and Command Console features, both kits provide the same diagnostic capabilities across the same range of cars. The Coding and Command Console features are available with the Professional version only.
Enthusiast Version: Intended for the private owner of BMW, the Enthusiast kit comes complete with one USB-to-ODBII standard interface cable. If purchased, your kit might also include the early-model adapter cable with the round, 20-pin connector. The Enthusiast kit is limited to use on three cars managed by VIN. Bavarian Technic enforces this limit by storing the car’s VIN in the memory of the cable. After you use the cable on three cars, it will only continue to function on those three cars.
