This wagon, which is as spacious as it is variable, is being supplemented with the addition of a third – and fourth – body version to the successful Golf product lineup. Version 1: The classic Golf, the “icon”, including the “GT”, “GTI” and “R32″. Version 2: The Golf Plus with greater height, higher seat position and longitudinally adjustable rear bench seat. The new CrossGolf, which is based on the Golf Plus, is also being launched currently. Version 3: The Jetta; although it is not called a Golf, in its DNA it is one. For years now, this version has proven to be the most successful car of any German car producer in America. The new version 4: The Golf Variant – not only as a TDI that outputs 77 kW / 105 PS and is economical (5,2 liters diesel per 100 km) and clean (137 g/km CO2).

2008 Volkswagen Golf Bluemotion
Volkswagen will be firing off the next salvo of its BlueMotion offensive at the International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt. In total, six new models with technology that is as economical as it is environmentally-friendly, will debut at the world’s largest car show. One of the highlights there: The new Golf BlueMotion. At just 4.5 litres of diesel per 100 km (62.8 mpg), its fuel consumption has been reduced by a full 0.6 litres compared to the original model. Similarly, CO2 emissions have been reduced from 135 g/km to 119 g/km. Actions taken on the BlueMotion make it so efficient that now distances of more than 1,200 km (745 miles) are possible on just one Golf tank of fuel (55 litres).

Audi TT Coupe (U.S. Version) Fog Light Modification for Daytime Running Light Operation
The U.S. Version of the Audi TT Coupe (and Roadster) does not come factory equipped with daytime running light capability. Daytime running lights being headlamps or similar, smaller lamps that are on whenever the ignition of the car is on. These lamps then also remain on when the parking lights and the headlights are turned on. I feel daytime running lights add to the safety level and overall appearance of any car. You’re more visible to pedestrians and other motorists and the car looks better in the frontal view. So, the challenge was to determine the best way to add daytime running lights to the TT Coupe. Since the TT is equipped with fog lights that are built in to the headlight cluster the plan was to try to modify the circuitry controlling the fog lights to make them behave like daytime running lights. However, I also needed to retain the normal on/off fog light operation during use of the headlights.

New TSI with 122 PS: Economical and Powerful consuming six percent less fuel and maximum torque of 200 Nm in reserve at a low 1,500 rpm. Maximum power with minimum fuel consumption – this characteristic has, within a very short period of time, made TSI four-cylinder engines a synonym for a new generation of economical and at the same time sporty Volkswagen engines. Performance specifications: 125 kW / 170 PS and 103 kW / 140 PS. The Golf, Golf Variant, Golf Plus, Jetta and Touran are powered by them. In 2006 and once again in 2007 they were awarded the coveted “Engine of the Year Award”. Now Volkswagen is presenting the third TSI; this one is 90 kW / 122 PS strong and will be introduced to the Golf lineup this year.

RaVe 270 – it stands for a fully customized design in car racing style. RaVe 270 – it stands for a customized interior with exclusive leather bucket seats. RaVe 270 – it also stands for techno music from a powerful 1,400 Watt sound system of the prestige class. This system really hammers. It is based on the brand-new RNS 510 radio-navigation system. System controls include a userfriendly touchscreen and multifunction keys. Hardware of the RNS 510 includes a 400 MHz Power-PC processor and a dedicated graphic processor. The navigation and entertainment data are stored on a 30-Gigabyte hard disk drive. A SD card slot (including for MP3 files) is located beneath the touchscreen. But the real highlight is the fact that the RNS 510 interfaces with a powerful 1,400 Watt sound system. A total of 13 loudspeakers are supplied via powerful output amplifiers. A strong 880 Watt subwoofer and two other 250 Watt subwoofers in chrome are responsible for the distinctly “palpable” sound. Like the output amplifiers, the 880 Watt subwoofer is located so that it is visible on the cargo f loor. Also integrated in the rear were two 12-inch monitors, so that the music of the best bands could not only be heard but seen too. Procedure installing the Grill to Honda CRV
1. Remove the plastic rivets securing the plastic guard located underneath the vehicle in order to install the front bar.
2. Start with the passenger side assembly, postion one of the 7/16 nut plates behind the cross member opening and align the 7/16 nut plate wit the two matching holes in the frame rail. Fasten the frame brackets to the bottom cross member as shown in the illustration using the 7/16 x 1 ¼ hex bolts, 7/16 washers, 5/16 self tapping bolt and 5/16 washers. Note: Do not over tighten 5/16 x 1 self tapping bolt as it might strip threads.

2008 Volkswagen Golf Fleet World Honors
Volkswagen has won four key awards at the 2008 Fleet World Honours, which were presented at a ceremony earlier today. The mainstay of the Volkswagen range, the Golf, was named Best Fleet Car for the second year running, while the manufacturer also claimed the gong for Best Diesel Range. In the Commercial Vehicle awards, Volkswagen’s Caddy won the accolade for Best Small Van, while the Crafter was crowned Best Large Van.
