Volkswagen will complete the development phase of the new Tiguan with a final extreme test in Namibia. During the final acceptance drive on the African continent, the electronic components and chassis of the new SUV are the primary focus of testing. This was developed in close cooperation with the most important local Volkswagen operations in Europe, Asia and America. MMR-1/MMR-2 Digital Rear View Mirror with Temperature and Compass Installation
You may following below steps to complete the installation:
1. In the interior of the vehicle, remove the upper windshield trim, the driver’s side A-pillar trim and kick-panel (plastic trim panel on the floor by your feet).
2. Remove the factory rearview mirror from the windshield.
3. Install the new mirror.
If the mirror does not fit your vehicle, it may be necessary to replace your mirror button with a different one. Pre-1996 Ford units are a commonly compatible style.
4. Starting at the bottom of the dash on the driver’s side, feed the black, flat connector up to the opening for the A-pillar at the base of the windshield. Routing the wires straight up the pillar, pull enough through to reach the mirror.

The new Volkswagen Tiguan compact 4×4 is set to go on sale in February powered by a choice of advanced new TSI petrol and common rail diesel engines. Just ahead of its arrival in the UK Volkswagen Individual has unveiled the Tiguan R-Line design study at the Essen Motor Show – a subtly aggressive styling exercise demonstrating the potential for a range-topping Tiguan.

Fuel cell of the Tiguan HyMotion develops system power of 80 kW In Shanghai, for the first time in the world Volkswagen is presenting a SUV prototype with a fuel cell: the Tiguan HyMotion . Compared to the recently introduced Touran HyMotion, performance of the fuel cell drive has been further improved, and its efficiency has been optimized. The fuel cell system with an output power of 80 kW was integrated in the Tiguan’s engine compartment. The electric motor operates here too. It develops a maximum power of 100 kW. The top speed of the Tiguan HyMotion is 150 km/h; the prototype, weighing in at 1,870 kilograms, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in about 14 seconds. A lithium ion battery with a charge capacity of 6.8 Ampere-hours (Ah) serves as an auxiliary energy storage device. Its maximum power output is 22 kW. The battery is charged by recovered braking energy (recuperation) or by the fuel cell. The battery system is installed in the trunk, specifically beneath the dual cargo floor that can be ordered on the production Tiguan. The 700 bar hydrogen tank was integrated in the area beneath the rear bench seat and the cargo area. It can hold up to 3.2 kilograms of hydrogen (H2). GM 5 Unlock Installation Possibilities
GM UnLOCK GM 5. After installation, the GM 5 will allow continuous operation of the AUX input video features of your navigation screen (vehicle must have a VIDEO AUX input jack in the console – small audio jack in front of screen is not a video AUX input), and if your screen is capable of playing DVD movies, the GM 5 UnLOCK will allow continuous operation of the DVD player when selected.
