Position truck on a flat surface and lift vehicle by the frame so that the front wheels are off the ground. Use a minimum 3 ton jack stands and place under frame for safety or a (2) two post lift if available. Make sure that the emergency brake is on and the rear wheels are blocked to prevent a rollout.

Procedure installing the Grill to Honda CRV
1. Remove the plastic rivets securing the plastic guard located underneath the vehicle in order to install the front bar.
2. Start with the passenger side assembly, postion one of the 7/16 nut plates behind the cross member opening and align the 7/16 nut plate wit the two matching holes in the frame rail. Fasten the frame brackets to the bottom cross member as shown in the illustration using the 7/16 x 1 ¼ hex bolts, 7/16 washers, 5/16 self tapping bolt and 5/16 washers. Note: Do not over tighten 5/16 x 1 self tapping bolt as it might strip threads.

1. REMOVE CONTENTS FROM BOX. VERIFY ALL PARTS ARE PRESENT. READ INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY.
2. Using a flat screwdriver carefully remove all fasteners from factory plastic shroud on top and underneath the vehicle. On the bottom there are (4) on the front and (3) on each side by the fender. On the top there are (7) fasteners.
3. Remove bottom plastic shroud and place it on a working area. Using a hack saw carefully cut the marked area shown in Figure 1.

Original Exhaust System Removal
Note: With a used vehicle, we suggest a penetrating spray lubricant to be applied liberally to all exhaust fasteners and allowing a significant period of time for the chemical to lubricate the threads before attempting to disassemble.
1. Unbolt the flanges shown in figure 1 located just in front of the muffler assemblies. Place the nuts to the side for use during the installation of your new exhaust.
2. Lubricate all the hangers and rubber isolators.
3. Using a muffler stand or an additional person to hold the right muffler assembly in place, remove the hangers from the rubber isolators and then remove muffler as shown in figure 2.
4. Repeat step 3 for the removal of the left side muffler assembly.

Installing the mounting frame brackets
1. Remove factory tow hooks from front section of vehicle
2. Align driver side mounting bracket to the bottom and outer edge existing holes. Position bracket in manner shown below.
3. Attach mounting frame brackets using the 7/16 x 1 ― hex bolts, 7/16 hex nuts and 7/16 washers. (hand tighten as you may have to move the brackets around slightly, to align the front bar)
NOTE: 2WD models, you may have to cut a space in the plastic spoiler for the bottom of the front bar up rights to slide through and eventually attach to the frame mounting brackets.

Step 1: Prior to lifting the vehicle it is recommended that you measure the stock height so that you have a base line measurement. Measure from the bottom of the wheel to the lip of the fender. Position the truck on a flat surface and lift front wheels off of ground. Use jack stands or a (2) two post lift if available. Remove the driver’s side front wheel. (shown to the right)
Step 2: Place a floor jack under the lower a-arm and raise jack to a level that the coil has been compressed but the truck is still firmly sitting on the jack stands. Next use a coil compressor to secure the coil in its compressed state.
Caution: Failure to do this step may allow the coil spring to release from the vehicle in a violent action and may cause serious injury or death. Once this step has been done, loosen and remove the Shock Absorber (A), Sway Bar Hardware (B), Tie Rod End (C) and Upper Ball Joint Nut (D) from the spindle.
